Musée des maisons comtoises

All of Franche-Comté in an open-air museum!

The Nancray museum-park invites you to discover Franche-Comté through its history, architecture, crafts and know-how, agriculture and challenges. As you visit farms, artisans’ workshops, a Comté cheese dairy… from the 17th to the 19th century—carefully restored, furnished and equipped—you’ll see how rural economy and craftsmanship have shaped the lives of its inhabitants for 350 years. Extending the indoor visits, the 8 themed gardens invite you to stroll and relax. The museum’s livestock of domestic animals adds to the pleasure of the visit and helps manage the park ecologically. Flower meadows, an orchard, a pond, cabins and land art punctuate the route. Exhibitions, events and daily activities are a source of inspiration and will make you want to come back to the museum.

In 2026, LEGO bricks take the spotlight at the museum, with exhibitions, artist interventions and a competition!
